Sewage Treatment Plant Service.

Every make and model of sewage treatment plant requires maintenance, some more than others.
Not only is it best to ensure that electrical components are safe and that mechanical equipment is functioning correctly, it's also necessary to keep a record of the effluent readings. Effluent tests are carried out to keep a record of the treatment process and the effluent that your system is discharging.

Please read below for more information on the what's carried out on a service visit and why a service plan is recommended.

Full electrical testing is carried out on each service, this includes -
  • Pump insulation resistance testing
  • Pump and motor amperage checks
  • Pump & float continuity tests
  • Voltage checks
  • Control panel & component setting checks & tests

A variety of checks and inspections are carried out on the rest of the system including the following -
  • Full system operational checks, ensuring the system is working in manual and auto modes correctly.
  • Full inspection of the pipework and parts, including connection and valve checks.
  • Air hose checks and back pressure testing on suitable air compressors
  • Replacement air filter for air compressors (most replacement air filters are included in the service price)
  • Alarm checks, sensors and beacon tests.
  • Removal of pump/s and inspection or clearance of blockages if necessary during the service visit.
  • Bearing, Belt and pulley inspections
  • Lifting chain inspection for corrosion or damage to any connections.
  • Tidy of the system
  • Junction box checks (replacement glands and connectors are included in the service price)

Bacteria Checks & Effluent Tests -

Turbidity tests are carried out on suitable sewage treatment plants, giving a probable BOD reading allowing us to determine if your system is working correctly and passing environmental regulations.

Settlement tests are carried out on suitable sewage treatment plants to be able to give an accurate estimate to when your system needs emptying.

A full detailed report is sent via email after all visits, this will include all of the above with accurate measurements. Expert advice and recommendations are made if necessary.
